This may be old news to some of you, certainly to those in the UK; however you must first understand that I don't watch TV. I catch up on news and such via the Internet; so delayed as it may be, I am wondering how many of you have seen this, and how many of you were insanely touched as I was. Not only by her performance, but her choice in song to perform and the outcome. The sheer joy of her reaction! (I love the happy dance!) Wake-up call indeed. This single performance reinforces that the Hollywood image of glamor and what is "beautiful" chased after by most Americans is rubbish. Everyone has a dream inside of them, no matter who they are or where they are from. Watch. Let us all make an effort to stop judging people by their appearances and foremost:
Don't let the life you lead kill the dreams you dream.
I love this woman! She is humble and yet cheeky and wild. What a superbly talented and inspiring human being! I may be just a silly and sometime-emotional girl - but the combination of her voice and the soul of her dream that she put into that performance brought tears to my eyes! Thank you , Susan! You go girl!

I don't watch tv either ~ just see glimpses when I pass thru & dh is watching news or something. I discovered Susan when signing into Yahoo last week... but they only showed a portion of what your link shows. What's not to love about her & her story? It's a beautiful, strong message. Good for you for posting it on your blog, for anyone who might have missed it, or only seen the condensed version!
