Welcome Weekend!

this weekend is all about shop maintenance. uploading photos. downloading photos. listing. listing. listing.
Which is good news. not complaining~ except it is exceptionally beautiful out this afternoon and i have a few dolls that are taunting me to finish them from across the studio. But I refuse to give into them! I have put this off long enough- and considering last weekend was an exceptional art show- with wonderful people (and equally wonderful sales) it is time to update and re list. *sigh*
that doesn't stop me from wishing I were here...

But those days will come soon enough. So I continue my lessons in patience.

Today is the 2nd annual Where Bloggers Create blog party. which as you can see- due to scheduling, i have missed this year. *pout* but please head on over to My Desert Cottage and take a gander at all of the wonderful studios out there in Blogland!  It is probably a good thing- since the recent show schedule, creative hurricane and just down right hot weather/rain my studio looks more like this...
and this...
rather than those beautiful, organized studios you will see along your travels. I tried. i failed. I like to call it.. Creative Chaos. it's a process.

Okay- enough procrastination. time to get back to the photos and listings and uploads, and downloads...

Don't Forget.. The Countdown has begun for the Tea party! Click on the side link for more details- or just pop over and say hello  to Vanessa at A Fanciful Twist for all of the details and a sneak peek at her preparations!

Live well.
Love each other.

It is just temporary

Ok - April Fools - I saved my blogger template to a different computer! AH HA! - so - As a result- everything that i am used to seeing - has gone for a walk for the moment. Perhaps, maybe to visit with you and have a cup of tea?

If you see any of my wayward widgets - could you send them home? they are horribly missed.

Actually, I have finally given in to the fact that I just can't do everything - Well - let me clarify that - I could do everything - it's just that there is not enough time to do everything! LOL - no need to cut myself short here! So as a result I have farmed out the templates, webpage and all of the glorious html coding to a brilliant professional- so that it gets done sometime in the next millennium - As a result - since I already have the design in my head as to what it is going to look like - there is nothing out there that i feel comfortable in - and as a result - (like ya' have not noticed) I keep changing the background every time I sign in - cause - it just doesn't feel like home. (pouting)

Oh well - things could be worse!

I know that time is limited and I have three posts to catch up on (fellow artists to gush over and items to post)- but life seems to throw you for a loop now and again - reminding you to slow down- so instead- this weekend I will be attending a funeral.

I have no regrets. No "wish I should have could have". But as it happens, when things like this happen- it makes you take a step back, take account, and make an extra effort.

See you next week.

wake with a smile

listen to the space between your heart beats

and love each other well

And if you need something to giggle over - check out the size of those bunny feet!

Finished. Back to the Studio!

I have successfully completed all but three painting that were started in the studio. That is 6 in two weeks. While I feel like I have accomplished something (especially since three have already been sold), I think either I am suffering from acrylic burnout (hee hee- yeah right!) or my brushes are now nubs - because it looks like it is going to be a sculpting weekend! (yeah!) The arthritis is acting up from this last cold snap - and I need some clay therapy!

It appears that the last of the snow is leaving us (please, please, please) and Spring is officially on its way- Soon it will be time to throw the doors open on the studio and I CAN'T WAIT! ::muaha haa haa::: Party at the studio! Open House! Classes start! Art shows under twinkle lights and a large moon! Long evenings under star filled skies! bonfires and friends- It is going to be a loooong spring/summer! wooooHOoooOOOO!! You ready?!

Hope ta' catch you here :0)

Wips, Whims and Wondering When it Will be Warm

Beautiful isn't it! Blue sky, snow gently perched atop pine trees. A veritable winter wonderland. Invokes thoughts of horse drawn sleigh rides, gliding down the ski slopes, making snow angels and warming before an open fire with hot cups of cocoa. Hmm. Nice vision... warm thoughts. good vision.. Now let me show you what it looks like close up.....

Still beautiful. Still serene. Still a wonderland. The problem is is very simple....

I HAVE HAD Enough! It is freakin' cold! And it has been cold for long enough. I have been unable to step into the studio for over a week because the temperature in the studio is one degree from hell freezing over! LOL. I have been forced to move all of the "freezables" into the house. Now, under normal situations that may not be to bad. But I have a LOT of stuff that freezes! paints and additives, various clays and chemicals that just don't like the cold! And I live in the perfect little stone cottage under the tall trees. Really. I mean.... really little! If you read my deed, you would laugh! It states that my cottage is 600 square feet. Which, is the perfect home. Just NOT filled with a studio! The walls are closing in and to make matters worse, the seed catalogs have started to arrive! OMG! Torture! Dreams of little buds popping out of the ground; vibrant, fragrant flowers enveloping the senses at every turn. Digging in the garden, the warm earth in your hands....... And then you actually look outside! I know they do it on purpose - to torture us!!! Seed Catalogs. By the dozen. Arriving at my door. Intended to give hope of a Spring soon to bloom. :::sigh::::

A bite verbose today. Can you tell?! LOL!! Oh, all right. I will just say that I have started posting the vintage items in the Studio Clean Out Sale over at Etsy. Which winds up being a positive side of not being able to spend countless hours in the studio... Lots of time to catalog and photograph. So, go check it out. Only a drop in the ocean of items are listed now - but more are on the way. So check back often. In the mean time, here are the promised updated photos of the Wip(s) in the works::

A few more steps and tweeks and "Melancholy" series is on its way! Although with this pose~ this one looks like she is ready to cast a spell!

Melancholy Molly Pettigrove

With everything in the house, it is very easy to get paranoid~ like there is always someone watching you...

The wise one. The elder Goblin. Also known as... Hey Grandpa- your still nekked!! Get your shirt on! ( I think cabin fever has set in - Its not that I am talking to these little creatures- I do that all the time- its that I think they are answering me back!

According to the weatherman ( I JUST checked this!) - it is supposed to be above 30 degrees this weekend - which is... WOW... There may be hope for a studio thaw by Sunday! Turn off that cell phone and LOCK the door!!!

Yeee HAAW!!

Have a wonderful weekend everyone! And wherever you are:::: Stay warm!!!
